Spa Entrance & Interior – Limewash Finish
The Vision
This project involved the creation of a luxury spa environment, starting from a raw, unfinished shell.
The client’s vision was clear: to design a space that feels calm, refined, and timeless. A place where visitors immediately disconnect from the outside world the moment they step inside.
Rather than using strong colors, logos, or decorative elements, the focus was on material, texture, and atmosphere.
Material Choice – Limewash
We selected Limewash as the primary finish for both the entrance lobby and the spa’s restroom areas.
Limewash was the perfect choice because it:
- Creates a soft, natural, and calming surface
- Adds depth and movement without visual noise
- Feels organic and breathable, rather than artificial
- Ages beautifully and maintains a timeless appearance
The subtle variations in tone and texture give the walls a “living” quality, which aligns perfectly with the philosophy of a spa.
The Entrance Experience
The entrance was designed to feel quiet and intentional.
- No signage
- No logos
- No visual distractions
Instead, the Limewash walls guide the experience.
The moment guests enter, they are surrounded by texture, softness, and balance, setting the tone for relaxation and exclusivity.
This approach allows the space itself to communicate luxury, without needing to explain it.
Spa Restrooms
The same Limewash finish continues into the restroom areas, creating visual continuity throughout the spa.
Using Limewash in these spaces allowed us to:
- Maintain a cohesive design language
- Elevate functional areas into part of the overall experience
- Preserve a clean, calm, and sophisticated aesthetic
The result is a seamless flow between entrance, treatment areas, and supporting spaces.
Why Limewash Was the Right Choice
For this spa, Limewash was not just a design decision, it was a strategic one.
It supports:

- A natural, non-commercial atmosphere
- A premium, boutique-spa identity
Rather than drawing attention, the material allows guests to slow down and feel present.
